Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani Homers 1000th struck career against cardinals

The epic list of Shohei Ohtani of career distinctions continues to grow.
At the bottom of the third round in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Wednesday match against the Cardinals of St. Louis, Ohtani, 31, made the plate with 999 career strokes to his credit.
The counting being 1-1, Ohtani timed the lead of 92 miles per hour of the launcher of the Kyle Leahy cardinals before going up its bat to launch the ball of 440 feet to center the field in the stands to help take the first advance of Los Angeles, 2-1.

It was not just any circuit for Ohtani, however – it was his 1,000th success of his career. The Hit also marked the 39th Ohtani circuit and the 120th stroke of the 2025 season.
Ohtani took his time to run the bases, where he motioned for fans and apparently changed his hat while he was heading for marble.
He is the seventh player in the history of the MLB with 1,000 strokes and 500 stick withdraws on the mound, according to ESPN Research.
Ohtani also took the mound on Wednesday, recording eight sticks to the stick, granting two sure and abandoning one point in four sleeves. He marked his fifteenth circuit in a career in a match in which he was the starting launcher.
In the past 25 seasons, the only players with more circuits in a game in which they were the starting launcher are Carlos Zambrano (24), Madison Bumgarner (19) and Mike Hampton (16), according to ESPN Research.
