Warning! This message contains spoilers for Wakanda’s eyes
Marvel Uatu the observer I just made his 5th appearance MCU. In Marvel’s New Wakanda’s eyes Minisenies, the observer can be seen in the last episode of the show. However, this incredibly brief cameo without dialogue is not the first time that the Uatu has been seen in the various animated MCU projects.

This includes an incredibly pivotal mission, one with large ramifications for the future of Wakanda. Indeed, Uatu can be seen by observing this key event, although I cannot help but ask myself if the new appearance of the observer MCU could lead to something bigger.

Wakanda’s eyes Episode 4 took place in 1896 and 2396 after JC After an ax of familiar vibranium was recovered by the Kuda war dog and the Prince Tafari of Wakanda in 1996, the last Panther Black confronts them, turning around 500 years in the future.

The reason why this is so important is that the “Last Black Panther” of the MCU comes from a dark future chronology where Wakanda remains isolated. This led to the fall of the whole world in an invasive extraterrestrial horde, Wakanda being the last nation to die for, when the whole planet is united at the beginning could have made a difference.
As such, it is logical that such a moment of transfer of central chronology is worthy of observing the observer, which is briefly shown towards the start of Wakanda’s eyes Episode 4, shortly after Kuda and Tafari could first recover the ax.
The other MCU appearances of the UATU explained

In this alt-upline separated from the main MCU, Uatu observes the moment when Peter Parker really becomes Spider-Man, shortly after Doctor Strange said to Parker that he seems ready to embrace his life as a hero (a pivotal moment worthy of a cosmic observation if he never had one).
Is the replacement of Cameo by Stan Lee from Marvel Animation (or something bigger?)
It certainly seems that sufficient of a model appeared where we can assume in complete safety that Uatu will always have a kind of appearance in the animated projects of the MCU. Even if this is only a quick appearance without dialogue, fans should probably keep their eyes open for the supervisor from now on whenever a new animation program is published on Disney +.
It certainly seems that Uatu has become this cosmic replacement of the classic appearance of the MCU of the legend of the fire Marvel Comics Stan Lee. Seeing how Stan Lee encountered a trio of observers Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2It is a pretty fun idea overall.
However, I also also wonder if maybe something bigger is on the horizon for Uatu. After all, Marvel’s What if …? Recently, he ended with his third season at the end of 2024, the MCU series where Uatu was a first full -rate narrator and protagonist.
I am very curious to know how the end of the multifiverse saga could affect the Uatu as a cosmic observer which is not above its wishes and intermediate, something that has certainly been proven by the final of the series Si …? Of course, a live appearance of the UATU Avengers: Secret Wars, Naturally played by Jeffrey Wright, would be incredible.
That said, I think it would be fascinating if Marvel Animation had a kind of major crossover, which binds all its projects together before the end of the multifiverse saga. In this way, Uatu’s appearances in each MCU animated project could be more important than simple cameos, and could rather turn into something really epic.
In any case, I am delighted to see where Uatu the Watcher appears in this year Marvel zombiesand potentially in the next seasons of X-Men ’97 and / or Your Spider-Man neighborhood friend.
