The Astros of Houston obtained their third basic player, acquiring Ramon Urias and considerations in species from Baltimore Orioles on Thursday for the prospect of minor league Twine Palmer.
Also on Thursday, the Orioles sent the right-hander Andrew Koredge to the Chicago Cubs for the Cruz Wilfri minor league.
Baltimore was fairly active this month, shipping right-handed Bryan Baker to the Rays de Tampa Bay on July 10, Gaucher Gregory Soto at the New York Mets last Friday and the right of Serranthony Domínguez at the Blue Jays de Toronto on Tuesday.
Urias, 31, defeating. 248 with eight circuits and 34 points produced in 77 games in the season, is about to take over as the third basic player for the Astros. Isaac Parades could miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
Urias is a career striker .259 with 47 circuits and 205 points produced in 506 games with the Orioles. He also won a gold glove as the third basic player in 2022, joining the renowned temple Brooks Robinson (16 times) and Manny Machado (twice) as the only team members to do so.
Palmer, 20, posted a 2-0 file with an MPM of 2.13 in 13 appearances (eight departures) with Single-A Fayetteville. The 6 -feet 5 inch right -hander was selected by the astros in the 19th round of the recovery of first -year players in 2024 of the Connors State College in Oklahoma.
Kittredge, 35, has a 2-2 file with an MPM of 3.45 in 31 appearances in succession this season since its signing of a one year contract and $ 9 million in February.
He has a 25-14 file with 16 stops and an MPM of 3.44 in 286 appearances in career relief (15 departures) with the Rays, the Cardinals of St. Louis and the Orioles.
