“I’m going to fail to have it on television every night. But I am delighted that he can no longer use the excuse he is” too busy to go out “with me,” he wrote.
Earlier this month, CBS announced that the network canceled “The Late Show” citing financial reasons, but this decision aroused many criticisms and speculation.
Colbert has long been a frank criticism of Trump and made jokes about CBS’s motivations to chop his program since it happened.
