PGA Tour Golf: Thorbjorn Olesen shares the head with Akshay Bhatia at 3m Open | News Golf
Thorbjorn Olesen accessed three eighth and shot four under 67 on Saturday in the 3m open for a share of the third round advance with Akshay Bhatia.
Olesen, the 35 -year -old Danish player who led after the second round, used a six -eighth iron on the eighth of 209 yards at TPC Twin Cities.
“It was a rear pin. I felt like I couldn’t get there with a seven, so we opted for a soft iron,” said Olesen. “Obviously, has perfectly taken the slope, a big bonus to see it in. It’s been a long time since I had one.”
Bhatia had a 63 to display the first at 18.
“I cut twice, I did a lot of putts,” said Bhatia. “Many putts have embarked on, which was really nice to see. Overall, just a fairly solid round. I felt like I had done a very good job to play from the tough today. I have not particularly struck it from the T-shirt, but fortunately, the greens are quite soft to know where you can do that.”
Kurt Kitayama equaled the tournament and the course record with a 60, finishing before Oleen and Jake Knapp Teed in the final group, reaching 17 sous. The Japanese player Takumi Kanaya (65) was also 17 sous Knapp (67) and Sam Stevens (66).

Bhatia, the 23 -year -old Californian player with two PGA Tour victories, reduced the fifth and 55 feet with 42 feet for another blank out of 11.
“I’m just trying to play solid golf and I hope the cards fall tomorrow,” said Bhatia.
Kitayama equaled the tournament brand taking place by Adam Svensson in the first round. Paul Goydos also has a share of the record record, firing 60 in the 3M 2017 championship on the champions of the PGA Tour. Kitayama had 12 birdies and a bogey. He played the first nine in seven under 28 years of age.
“I was just in a way there,” said Kitayama. “I don’t think you really have a number in any turn, just take what you can get.”
