Superman returns the star of Brandon Routh shares his point of view on the restart of DCu by James Gunn: “I cried three times”

Bryan Singer’s Superman returns was not really appreciated by fans when he released in theaters in 2006, but many would be suitable that, whatever the faults that the film can have overall, Brandon Routh did a very good job in the role of Clark Kent / Superman.
The lukewarm reception led to a sequence provided for rebuilding, but Routh would have the opportunity to play the man of steel several years later as the Kingdom come Version of the legendary hero DC Comics for CW Crisis on infinite land TV event.
This appearance probably marked the last time of Routh in the iconic red and blue costume, but the actor has often talked about his love for Superman and has clearly a good understanding of what has made him such a popular and lasting character over the years.
While talking to Variety To promote her new horror film, ICKRouth revealed that he had now seen James Gunn SupermanAnd he was a big fan.
βIt was very fun. I really enjoyed. I think David [Corenswet] is fantastic. I cried no less than three times. “”
“I see this in a different way. I come from a different point of view,” He added. “I really started when I watch him sail these delicate moments of Superman in the first conversation with Laws and Clark in the apartment. And then all the family stuff for me really hit. It’s a great film. There is a lot in it. I have to go back.”
As for what comes then for Superman and the DCU, Routh will pay special attention.
“I am really excited for the potential of the DC universe”, “ He said. βA successful launch with this is just good for all those who want more of what DC has to offer. There are many large properties that can be explored. β
