The former star of England Paul Gascoigne rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home

Paul Gascoigne was transported to hospital Friday evening after collapsing at his home in Poole, Dorset, according to reports.
The former 58-year-old England star was found in a semi-conscient state of his room by a close friend Steve Foster, who acted quickly to attract medical care.
Gascoigne was initially admitted to intensive care before being transferred to an acute medical unit. Saturday evening, his condition had stabilized and he was no longer considered to be in immediate danger.
Foster shared a gratitude message on behalf of the football icon, saying that Gascoigne “would like to thank everyone for the support he has received so far from so many old friends who wish him good luck and who want to see him again to his best.”
He added: “Paul is in the hospital, which is the best possible place for him right now.”
Family members, including the daughter of Gascoigne, Bianca and her two sisters, would be kept informed of her progress.

A number of his former football colleagues – Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle, Paul Merson and Vinnie Jones – have also been updated on his condition.
Gascoigne remains one of the most popular football figures in England. He reached national renown during the 1990 World Cup, where his emotional reaction at the end of the semi-finals of England against Western Germany attacked him to millions.
During a 19 -year -old career, he won 57 caps in England, won a FA Cup with Tottenham Hotspur and won two league titles with the Rangers. He delivered one of the most emblematic objectives in the history of English football to Euro ’96, marking a dazzling solo effort against Scotland.
Despite its shine on the ground, Gascoigne has long fought against personal demons during and after his football career. He retired in 2004 and his life after the game was spoiled by health and dependence difficulties.
