India should not try to manage the workload of Siraj & Bumrah in the 4th test, with series on the line

Ind VS Eng: Even if Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah sent a lot of overs in the series in England, but the duo must play the 4th test.

It is now time to keep the 22 -point sorrow in Lord’s aside. It’s time for Team India to focus on the Manchester test, a place where they have never won a test before. July 23 would be a chance of gold for the boys of Shubman Gill to equalize the 2-2 series, provided they do not decide to leave aside the best players in India.

Yes, there have been conferences concerning the management of the workload of Indian Pacers. Mohammed Siraj played three on the trotting, and before the start of the series, it was clear that Jasprit Bumrah would only play three. But is that the right time to really give the duo, or one or the other a break? Maybe not. If this test is lost, the series is lost and India would not want to lose its first against England since 2018.

So how much Siraj and Bumrah really played? In three tests, the first sent 109 overs, while picking up 13 counters, and Bumrah has 86.4 in two games, with 12 counters. If we decompose this more, in the first match in Leeds, Bumrah played 44.4 Overs, while Siraj arrived at 41 years.

In the second match, Bumrah was rested, while Siraj bordered 31.3. In the Lord’s test, 43 and 36 Overs, respectively. The number may seem enormous, but that is what they have been doing since the start of WTC in 2019, just like the other best who elsewhere in the world. In fact, the Australian Trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, could perhaps be more overworked than any other stimulator in the world.

Bumrah, to start, played 1122 letters in all WTCs, in 37 games. So its average is 30.3 overs in a match. Siraj has 993 letters in 39 games, and its average is 25.4. Cummins played 1631 letters in 51 games, and its average is 31.9. Starc sent 1427 in 49 clashes, and its average is 29.1, more than Siraj. And finally, Hazlewood has 974 in 32 matches, and its average is 30.4.

No one can really wonder that Bumrah, because of his action, is subject to injuries, but at least for Siraj, he should be played all the matches, if India must have a chance to stay alive in the series. In addition, the quisons get a remainder of 9 to 10 days, which should be enough to regain their physical shape.
