Merab Dvalishvili teases the next combat plan after meeting UFC Brass

Merab Dvalishvili is ready to return to the octagon and defend his COQ weight belt from the UFC for the third time.

Currently classified as the fighter # 3 Book for book from the UFC, Dvalishvili has just submitted to the former king of Coq Sean O’malley weights in a fight that made the head of the UFC 316 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

The result marked Dvalishvili’s second victory against O’malley after winning the “SUGA” Coqs weight belt at the UFC 306 last September, and between these victories, the Georgian defended his title for the first time against Umarmagomedov, formerly incorporated.

We are a little more than a month away from the revenge match of Dvalishvili with O’malley, but “The Machine” recently met the UFC CBO Hunter Campbell in Las Vegas and informed the fans he was trying to get back into action as soon as possible.

If the UFC aims to bring Dvalishvili back to the octagon once again in 2025, it would mark the first time since 2020 that the 34 -year -old fought three times in the same calendar year.

Dvalishvili’s second victory against O’malley extended the sequence of current victories of Georgia at 13 fights, which is a race which is all the more impressive by the fact that the rooster weight is considered by many as the deepest division of the UFC and the MMA as a whole.

“The Machine” beat the old title titles of the UFC José Aldo, Petr Yan and Henry Cejudo to finally win his first fissure at the UFC Gold at the UFC 306, and the top 5 fighters coded to which he has not yet faced are Song Yadong and Cory Sandhage.

The # 5, Yadong, was on his own fight with Cejudo who ended with a technical victory for “Kung Fid” after a glance inadvertently, while Sandhant, classified # 4, was short in a title eliminator fight with Nurmagomedov last year, but beat the former Mouche Champion of the UFC DEIVESONDO in May.

The main event of the UFC 319 between the average weight champion of the UFC Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev is currently the only fight for the title of the UFC calendar. With at least two other à la carte events already planned for the rest of 2025, it is not surprising that the UFC can actively consider the next defense of the title of Dvalishvili.
