The strike ends after the leaders of Philadelphia, the union officials reached an agreement

Negotiations between officials of the city of Philadelphia and the leaders of the AFSCME DC33 resumed on Tuesday the day 8 of the current strike.
The president of the union, Greg Boulware, participated in talks with optimism.
“Today is another day. I hope we can enter this room and make progress, and resolve this CBA, and bring our men and women back to work,” he said.
The talks between the city officials and the union representing thousands of workers resumed the day 8 of the strike.
While thousands of workers remain on the stake line, some members of the striking union received the order of the courts to return to work.
The members employed by the medical examiner’s office, as well as the 911 distributors, were sentenced to work last week.
Then, Tuesday, a court ordered eight employees at Philadelphia International Airport to return to work.
“As I said on all injunctions: they prove how important our men and women are,” said Boulware.
DC33 claims that the last offer in the city of the city was the same: a salary increase of 8.75% over three years.
The union still requires an increase of approximately 15% over three years.
Pensions, health care and a residence requirement are also collision points.
