Man United Move for Dominic Calvert-Lewin Transfer

Manchester United would have made a surprise decision to try to take the former Everton striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, on a free transfer.

The 28 -year -old recently left Goodison Park at the end of his contract and is now available this summer and looking for a new club.

In a somewhat surprising way, it seems that Man Utd had an approach for Calvert-Lewin, according to a report by The Sun citing what they heard of the “initiates”.

The Red Devils could certainly do with Move Cover at the front, but Calvert-Lewin does not look like a signature that makes a lot of sense, even if it is available for free.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is surely far from being good enough for Manchester United

A few years ago, this decision might have made sense, but Calvert-Lewin is well below the peer for some time now.

The English international was impressive during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, but his score record since then undoubtedly shows why Everton was not embarrassed to keep it.

See below for his record in all competitions since then …

Season Games Goals
2019/20 41 15
2020/21 39 21
2021/22 18 5
2022/23 18 2
2023/24 39 8
2024/25 26 3

Although some fitness problems have clearly disrupted Calvert-Lewin’s progress, this is also another reason for United not to sign.

The MUFC needs a very solid transfer window after such a terrible campaign, and this is not the type of signature required to advance the team.

However, the Sun suggests that United want this offer because of its poor financial situation, so it may be the new reality that club fans must face.

Taken into account It has also already been said that Newcastle is interested in Calvert-Lewin.
