The British, Bill Nighy and the star of “Gavin & Stacey”, Mathew Horne, joined the distribution of the fantastic range of range “Welcome to Paradise”, alongside WWE superstar, Jordynne Grace, making his debut on the screen.
Richard Summers-Calvert (“Drive Me To The End”) writes and directs India, which is currently in post-production. The surreal fantastic film mixes psychological drama, black comedy and mythical surrealism, centered on a mysterious carnival where victory can mean survival and lose could trap visitors in an alternative reality forever.
Rising Stars Georgina Bennett and Kirk Patterson overcome the whole, which also includes Togo Igawa (“Tetris”, “Johnny English”), Tracey Wilkinson (“Carnival Row”) and the late Simon Fisher-Becker (“Harry Potter”, “Doctor Who”). Nighhy provides vocal work for the project.
The story follows Lisa, who wakes up on a mysterious beach without memory. After meeting a creature who tells her that she arrived at the “carnival”, she discovers a dynamic place populated by humans and magic animals. There, she meets Harvey, another lost soul, as they try to discover the truth about their past and find redemption – although everything has a price.
“I watched this film blindly, and I am now convinced that Richard Summers-Calvert is both a genius that weighs the genre and a deeply disturbed soul-in the best way,” said Adam Pearson, defender of the actor-discharge (“The Elephant Man).” This film is a joy to see. “
Summers-Calvert describes the project as “ambitious and shameless daring”.
“Some may doubt that it can work, but it is because they have never witnessed something like that in the flesh,” said Helmer. “This film has moments that people have never seen, heard or even dreamed before – and that’s what excites me the most.”
Creuset films and images of silents produce, with Djonny Chen of the latter. The recent slate of Silent D includes “High Wire” (with Isabella Wei of “1899”), “Finding My Voice” (with Michelle Ryan from “Bionic Woman”), “follow The Dark” (with James Cosmo of “Game of Thrones”) and the Indonesian bison struck “before night.
The film plans to delivery from the end of 2025 with major festival places in sight.
