Warner Bros. International Television appoints the team for Italian unit

Warner Bros. International Television Production has appointed the management team that will lead the local production operation recently launched in Italy which is its latest label in Europe.

After the launch in February of the WBITVP Italy unit, based in Milan, led by Stefano Torrisi, who also directs his production unit in Spain – WBITVP will now see the former manager of Banijay Italia Pierangelo Marano joining the chief of entertainment, taking creative and strategic places on non -scractic programs.

To complete the appointments, Nicolás de Las Peñas will now extend his current role as commercial director for WBITVP Spain and Portugal to also supervise the finances and operations of the new Italian label.

The first production of the new unit is the next season of “Primo Pressmento”, the Italian version of the British successful format “First Dates” for the Italian channel in real time.

“Since the announcement of our plans for a local production unit in Italy earlier this year, we have focused on building the largest possible team from Stefano to lead it,” said WBITVP president Ronald is part of a statement. “Max and Pierangelo bring a strong idea, an in-depth understanding of the Italian market inside and outside, and impressive international references”, he added, noting: “I am just as delighted as Nicolás will join them, having agreed to play this extended role, so that the team can rely on its vast operational experience and practical knowledge of the group.”

Founded in 2009, Warner Bros International Television Production Production produces script programs and local scripted via its network of local production operations comprising 22 production companies in 15 territories: the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and also in Australia and New Zeland.
