Glen Powell, 36, fights for his life in the trailer for “The Running Man”

The countdown is on. The first trailer for Edgar Wright The racing man happened – and with that, Glen Powell Officially enters the arena. Reimagination full of action Stephen King The classic dystopian will be released in theaters on November 7, and the new images promises a brutal and breathless ride with Powell leading the charge as Ben Richards, a desperate man forced to survive a death game sanctioned by the state to save his daughter.
Powell, 36, is not the only one impressed by what Wright has prepared. At Cinemacon this year, none other than Tom Cruise watched the teaser alongside Powell – and according to Powell, the Mission: Impossible The icon was blown away.
“Watching this teaser with Tom Cruise is a memory that I will never forget. He was so delighted after watching it. What was incredible in my relationship with Tom is the fact that he is a guy who does not hide his excitement. He likes theatrical experience and working hard and putting your body into play to entertain the audience.”
Although Cruise is not in the film, the trailer certainly strikes the same ideal point in love with adrenaline. The taking of Wright seems to combine raw physics, the black pitch satire and a relentless rhythm – much closer to the source material than the 1987 adaptation with Arnold Schwarzenegger. And yes, the Terminator Star has seen what is coming – and approves it.
“”I always felt when we did it Running Man… it could have been better“The Schwarzenegger said recently at CBR.” We did not have the money or the effects we needed. I think they have a good luck now with the new Running Man To improve it. And I hope, for their good and for me, I hope they will succeed. »»
