Chelsea agreed with his second agreement in 24 hours, with another new striker ready to join the Enzo Maresca team.

After signing Liam Delap earlier in June, Chelsea has always been on the market for another attacker option to accompany the former man of Ipswich and Nicolas Jackson. They have been linked to Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekitike, but in the past two weeks, they have settled on Joao Pedro as the main objective.

And despite competition from Newcastle, Chelsea has now managed to get their man.

As David Ornstein reported, Chelsea concluded an agreement with Brighton to sign Pedro. Fees greater than 50 million pounds sterling have been finalized between the two clubs, the 23 -year -old planned to write a seven -year contract in Stamford Bridge.

Pedro had prioritized a move to Chelsea from the start, despite the strong interest of Newcastle. He wanted to move to London for the next stage of his career, and that is what he will do later this summer.

But first, Pedro will be in action in the United States. Ornstein revealed that Chelsea will add the Brazilian international to their team for the Club World Cup, with a window to register players that would open next week before their equality in the quarter -finals against Palmeiras.

Pedro will become the second player in as many days to move to Chelsea, who concluded an agreement to sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the weekend. Maresca will have an abundance of quality in the attack for next season, but first, he will focus on the success of the club World Cup to accompany his victory in the League of the Conference of the UEFA 2024-25.
