If they are able to spend, they could do so to accommodate the tastes of Lucas Chevalier. The Villans would have opened talks to sign the goalkeeper of LOSC Lille and have submitted an offer worth 40 million pounds sterling.

Their pursuit of the French comes in the midst of rumors that Emiliano Martinez could leave the club this summer. The reports even went so far as to suggest that the World Cup winner now wants to join the rivals of the Premier League Manchester United.

Aston Villa holds talks to sign Pepe

As Espn Brazil reported, Aston Villa has now had talks to sign Pepe from FC Porto this summer. The 28-year-old winger has already obtained his name on the match sheet at the Club World Cup-net in a 4-4 draw with Al-Ahly and could now be in motion for 15 million euros (12 million pounds sterling) in the coming months.

At the top of his powers, Pepe proved that he had the quality to perform against the Premier League teams when he marked in a 3-3 dramatic draw against Manchester United in the table phase of the Europa League last season.

Just one of the six goals he managed alongside his four assists in all competitions last season, Pepe would offer Unai Emery a well -necessary depth of attack after the end of Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford loan spells.
