Before ‘Ironheart’ and Star Wars, Alden Ehrenreich amazed Ralph Fiennes in this comedy by Coen Brothers

There are filmmakers who are described as “actors of actors” and others who are perceived as “creative visionaries”, but Joel And Ethan Coen are a duo that represents the two disciplines. Together, the brothers made original, hilarious, disturbing and completely bizarre stories, and they often manage to bring down molds that include many Hollywood lukeers. Hail, Caesar! is a hilarious satire of “Golden Age of Hollywood” which included an exceptional performance of Honorable Aldenwho managed to overshadow his much more famous co-stars.
Logènement based on the real story of the notorious studio “fix” Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin),, Hail, Caesar! Explore the various misads that accompany the dispute of an eccentric group of actors through several major productions. One of Mannix’s main jobs is to help launch Hobie Doyle’s career, a Western star played by Ehrenreich. Although it is often a cynical examination of inherent narcissism involved in the film industry, Hail, Caesar! Understands both moments of laughter and surprisingly moving following the performance worthy of Ehrenreich.
Alden Ehrenreich gives the funniest performance of ‘Hail, César!’
Mannix is forced to deal with several established stars, such as the first unpredictable man Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) and the synchronized swimmer who became actress Deeanna Moran (Scarlett Johansson), but Hobie is a more altruistic artist who does not know the tips of the profession. Although he has won an important fans of fans through his roles in Western shows, Hobie is used to the productions in which he can show his set of skills inherent, making him badly prepared for the exuberance to work in the studio system. It is fun to see Hobie tripping through a complex production in which he is terribly criminal, but Ehrenreich always brings emotional intelligence to this role. It is not Hobia’s fault that it is moved, because it is much more aware of what it is capable of some of the most pretentious stars that Mannix has used.

One of the best comedies in Coen Brothers was an accidental adaptation
The comedy of 2000 contains many references inadvertently to the history of classical Greek adventure “The Odyssey”.
Ehrenreich has great chemistry with Ralph FiennesWho gives one of his most hilarious performances as an acclaimed British director Laurence Laurentz, who is forced to launch Hobie in a clever “error comedy” at the request of Mannix. Although Hobie’s accent makes him difficult for him to recite the lines, Laurentz is forced to keep him in the role, because the studio does not understand the nuanced casting process. The simple listening process, as Hobie constantly pronounces the expression “be so simple?” is hilarious, as Ehrenreich shows his commitment to the process, despite the growing frustration on the part of Laurentz. While Fiennes must show Laurentz’s attempt to keep the composure, Ehrenreich manages to repeat the gag without ever feeling derived. Although it is a fun examination of a recurring problem within the former Hollywood, the notion of a star being misunderstood in a role of reward bait is something that is always relevant in the industry today.
Hobie Doyle is one of the biggest characters in Coen Brothers
Although it is often the butt of a joke, Hobie ends up being the most friendly character of Hail, Caesar!, As he seems to understand how superficial the press surrounds cinema. Even if it is not the right choice for Laurentz’s film, Hobie seems to have a real affection for the cinema process, especially compared to someone like Burt Gurney (Channing Tatum), whose ulterior motives are revealed in one of the most fun twists and turns in the film. This is due to this pregnancy that Hobie becomes one of the few people with whom Mannix can speak with confidence, because he is looking for advice after learning that Baird was kidnapped in a plot to disturb American democracy. Even if the film is generally quite exaggerated, Ehrenreich creates an appropriate tonal change to indicate that the issues are real.
Ehrenreich’s performance is particularly impressive if we consider that it was a relative unknownEspecially in a set which included several winners of the Oscars. Although he has given strong performance Francis Ford Coppola‘s Dark And Woody Allen‘s Blue jasmineEhrenreich had never been responsible for giving such a transformative performance, because he was asked to achieve a difficult accent and convincingly perform all the Hobie lasso stunts. Giving credible performance as an actor with a limited range is a huge challenge, but Ehrenreich shows why someone like Mannix would believe in the power of Hobia stars. The Coen brothers are quite critical of this time in Hollywood history, but that encourages a real curiosity as to what the type of actor Hobie could become.
Ehrenreich turned out to be a perfect fit for the Coen Brothers cinema styleWhile he succeeded in eccentric dialogue without ever feeling too performative. Even when you work with large equipment, there is a consistency in the behavior of Hobia which refers to a broader story which is not necessarily represented on the screen. Hail, Caesar! is one of the most conflicting films in the filmography of the Cens, but even for those who have failed to appreciate the most satirical components, an autonomous scene with Hobie is an excellent full -fledged sketch. It can always be associated with Han Solo and Star Wars franchise, but the role of Ehrenreich in Hail, Caesar! This has solidified him as a large actor.
