Welcome to the open thread. During the month of June, we talked NBA draft. While we are leading to the draft of the NBA in 2025 of tomorrow, we saw the Spurs Project of choice. Today, we remember the draft of the NBA 2024.
The Spurs chose the Stephon castle with the 4th choice in the draft. Castle had just won the male title of division I of the NCAA with the Uconn Huskies. He continued his stellar game with The Silver & Black, winning the recruit honors of the year 2024, the first member of the Spurs to win the honors without being the first choice of the draft. He joined Victor Wembanyama Tim Duncan. And David Robinson as only players in the history of Franc Wise to obtain the distinction.

As the fastening has progressed this summer, the name of the castle appears as a desired commercial asset. Spurs have not shown any sign so far to separate from what most consider as an essential element in the future of Spurs.
Spurs also wrote Rob Dillingham with the 8th choice of draft. This choice of draft was part of a Toronto Raptors package in 2023 with Khem Birch (which was lifted), the choice of the second round in 2023 which transmitted the editorial staff of Sidy Cissoko, and a second round choice in 2025 in exchange for Jakob Poeltl.
Dillingham was exchanged during the draft evening until Timberwolves du Minnesota in exchange for an exchange of first -round choice in 2030 and their choice of recovery in the first round in 2031. Sidy Cissoko and the choice of the first round in 2031 of Minnesota were grouped with Zach Collins, thirty Jones and four other draft choices Brought from’aron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin to the San Antonio Spurs.
In the second round, the Spurs drafted Johnny Furphy with the 35th choice in total. He was negotiated on the night of Juan Núñez’s night, the 36th overall choice and money. Núñez spent the 2024-2025 season with FC Barcelona. He has teammates with bonds spent with Spurs – Tomáš Satoranský, Willy Hernangómez and Nicolas Laprovittola were all on alignment this season. Unfortunately, Nunez underwent a right knee injury requiring surgery last March and was estimated at six months.
Finally and above all, the Spurs picked up Harrison Ingram with the 48th choice in the draft. This choice was acquired in 2022 from Memphis Grizzles in exchange for Kennedy Chandler, a second round choice in 2022 obtained from Chicago when the Spurs sent Demars to the Bulls by a sign and an exchange. There is a much longer background on this business which will be discussed later this week.
And that is roughly aware.
Tomorrow, Spurs have the 2nd choice in total in the project and should choose Dylan Harper. They also have the 14th choice in the draft (via the Atlanta Hawks), and your assumption is as good as mine as it will shake. Predictions?
Anyway, tomorrow opens another door to the promise of the future for the San Antonio Spurs and how Patfo will continue to build around Victor Wembanyama.
