Tooele Army Depot Tooele Booms, including through Wasatch Front

Tooele, Utah (Kutv) – The Tooele Army Depot announced on Monday that civil servants will carry out “open detonations” as part of demilitarization operations.
Detonations started shortly before 11:45 a.m. in the South Zone OD range, causing strong noise and shaking tremors through Oquirrh mountain communities and the Wasatch front.
Several Utahns have expressed concerns about the cause of noise, some feared that this was linked to the Iranian conflict. An online user said the tremors felt far from the deposit, adding: “Sorry people, I think we are at war.”
The Tooele Army deposit gave a four -hour head high on detonations. Officials said residents can submit noise reports by calling 435-833-3300 or by sending an e-mail to Usarmy.tead.jmc.list.pao@army.mil. Those who hold their hand must leave their names, their contact details and the time and the place where the noises have been heard.
