We need solidarity now more than ever
Initiatives like these are essential because we learn the news that the federal government has announced that it had ordered the National Hotline for suicide prevention to stop providing specialized support for LGBTQ +appellants. Saying that they will be directed to the general number.
The TREVOR project, a non -profit organization that had provided specialized support, received an arrest working order, from July 17, 2025, according to the New York Times.
Although there is no longer a number 988 for the services, the TREVOR project will continue to offer resources via the hotline numbers of their non -profit organization. These proposed cuts were not intended to take effect before next year, so that the organization rushes.
