‘Scandal’ has a new house streaming

If you want a new frenzy of frenzy, you can really sink with teeth, Netflix has just added the seven seasons of one of the best Shondaland series in the ABC era – the extremely juicy, “scandal” political drama.
The famous successful series features Kerry Washington as now iconic Olivia Pope, former consultant (and lover) of the media with the president, who shaped her campaign from a diamond in the rough to the leader of the free world … until she decides to get rid of her estimated and fearful company.
The creator Shonda Rhimes is a familiar name on Netflix, where his banner Shondaland produced the Juggernaut Romance Romance struck “Bridgeton”, as well as his spin-off “Queen Charlotte” series, the mini-series nominated at the Emmy “Inventing Anna” and, most recently, a return to the White House in the charming “The Residence”. “But before his many Bucks strengthens Megadeal with Netflix, Rhimes was already a heavy striker on network television with his ABC hits” Gray’s Anatomy “,” How to run with the murder “and, of course,” scandal “.
The drama of an Emmy was a successful success for the network on seven seasons between 2012 and 2018, after Olivia while she runs her firm, Olivia Pope & Associates. There, she commanded her team of “gladiators” – lawyers (and a former assassin) – who specializes in the fixing of political scandals and the protection of the reputation of the nation’s elite.
This gives the “scandal” its super-have been super-hypelly of the week, allowing Olivia and its team to deliver maximum skill porn to the clock. At the same time, their disorderly personal life lends “scandal” an irresistible soapy side. The least of which is the tortured, toxic, super sexy and super secret relationship between Olivia and President Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant (Tony Goldwyn).

It was not only one of the most watched shows of its time (a cultural phenomenon that obtained many parodies, including the little “SNL” below), it was also revolutionary. When “scandal” was created, Washington was the first black woman to direct a network drama in almost 40 years. Rhimes fought to center the reproductive rights of women despite the decline in the network, and the series systematically has punctuated complex social and political problems with its mixture of clear writing and drama with high super countead stakes.
In addition to Washington and Goldwyn, “Scandal” also features Bellamy Young as the first lady politically warned Mellie Grant; Jeff Perry in the role of Cyrus Benee, a senior white house and seasoned strategist; Guillermo Díaz in the role of Huck, the former Black Ops Tech expert from Olivia; Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan, an intelligent and ingenious investigator; Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins, the new member of the team who is impatient to learn the ropes in a hurry; Joshua Malina as a lawyer in principle David Rosen and finally, Scott Foley in the role of Jake Ballard, a complicated figure of Liv and the life of Fitz.
The show was available to watch on Hulu and Tubi (where it is still streaming), but for Netflix subscribers who could experience streaming successes of Rhimes, it is now your chance to dive into the 124 episodes of one of its best.
