Arsenal wants to sign a new left winger this summer, and they were linked to a number of best players across Europe. But they could also consider a decision similar to that made for Raheem Sterling in 2024.

The tastes of Rodrygo Goes, Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens appeared on the Arsenal radar, but it is far from being guaranteed that one of them can be signed – in particular with interest of other clubs. But in the case of Jack Grenish, there would be a good chance that the agreement will be concluded if they were moving.

Grealish will almost certainly leave Man City this summer after having dropped far in hierarchical order, and although he has aroused the interest of a number of other Premier League clubs, Arsenal could also be an option.

This is the opinion of the former Premier League footballer and arsenal Darren Bent fan, who spoke of Grenise on Talksport (via Football Insider).

“I would do it to Arsenal for sure. But not instead of Martinelli. The thing about Martinelli, you have to remember is that it blows hot and cold, so Jack will have opportunities to play. If Jack wants to enter the Arsenal team and do well, then Martinelli will have to fight heads and nails to come back.”

Grealish would probably not be a popular signature among the supporters of Arsenal, but if he could resume the form he showed during his first season or two at Man City, he would be a high level addition to the team of Mikel Arteta – especially if he arrived on a low -cost loan.

But at first glance, Grenalish would not be the important upgrade that Arsenal needs on the left, so it may not be an option that club managers considered during the summer.
