“My flame gives you life … My crater is your house … Stay near me …” Meet Ginger, a tiny little tea with porcelain tea created by the god of fire. But there is something a little strange in him … This is what makes him unique. Potlems is a fascinating short film created and directed by the Spanish animation filmmaker Alberto Allegri Rodríguez. This is his project to present the official diplomas of the animation workshop / via University College of Denmark, where he has studied the animation of the characters in recent years. Potlems is a stylish 3D mini-opera in the aesthetics of Stop-motion of the 70s. In a city of children in porcelain always smiling, ginger is created with a deadly defect: a frowning is accidentally painted on his face. “What started as a fun concept of world construction has evolved towards an exploration of my feelings of vulnerability linked to growth with a handicap,” explains Alberto. The result is a little emotional and emotional animated film about what makes us different and why we have to kiss these differences instead of trying to hide them. See below.
