Konnan suggests Jade Cargill isn’t ready to become WWE Women’s Champion

Wrestling legend Konnan recently said Jade Cargill isn’t ready to become a major champion.

Speaking on his Keep it 100 podcast, the veteran said Jade Cargill looks like a star but isn’t ready to hold a title yet. He added that the former TBS champion should be able to lead others and that the title should not be given to someone because they are popular.

“She looks like a star but she’s not ready to be champion yet. She needs to be able to lead people… It’s like when Liv Morgan first won the championship, I was burying them, ‘She’s too green, why did they give it to her, she’s not ready’, then the second time they gave it to her she was ready. She can lead people in a match, she cuts good promos… You don’t give it to someone because they is over,” he said.

She’s been nothing but dominant since her arrival…and now a win over one of the best earns her a championship singles match for the first time. Congratulations @Jade_Cargill. The road back to the undisputed @WWE Championship begins now for @CodyRhodes…#WWENOC

Jade Cargill was once in a tag team with Bianca Belair, and the duo won the Women’s Tag Team Championships together. Belair has not been in action since suffering an injury at WWE WrestleMania 41.
