The Steelers signed the defensive back Quindell Johnson.
Johnson was initially signed by the Los Angeles Rams as a free agent not drafted after the draft of the NFL 2023. It was claimed to be derogated by the Bears de Chicago before the start of the 2023 season, appearing in nine games of his year recruited and recording an interception.
Johnson returned to Rams in 2024, spending part of the season in the team’s training team. He signed a reserve / future contract with the 49ers of San Francisco at the beginning of 2025.
Johnson played university football in Memphis where he appeared in 49 games in four seasons. He ended his career with 320 plated, 226 of them solo stops, 15.5 plated for a loss, 10 interceptions, 34 defensive passes, four forced escapes and three escaped recovery.
He was appointed first All-AAC team in 2022 and the second All-AAC team in 2020 and 2021.
