Willimantic police investigate ‘incident’ on Church Street – NBC Connecticut

Willimantic police are investigating an incident at a home on Church Street, the department said on Facebook. The Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crimes Unit is also on scene.

Investigators were seen wearing hazmat suits as they entered the home. Police officers were also seen carrying evidence bags. Officers said the situation “appears isolated” and there is no danger to the public.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the immediate area while investigators remain on scene.

Willimantic officials have not released additional information at this time.
