Mike Tyson floats Jake Paul rematch after Anthony Joshua win

After Jake Paul’s first knockout loss of his professional boxing career, one legend wants another chance against the Vine alum.

Mike Tyson, who lost to Paul by unanimous decision in their sanctioned match in November 2024, recently proposed a rematch after Anthony Joshua defeated the ‘Problem Child’ in the sixth round of Friday’s fight, which was broadcast live on Netflix.

“I am more and more confident and I believe that I will be better in the [Floyd Mayweather] a fight ahead,” he told UK’s Mirror of the March 2026 match planned for Africa. “But this fight here, I think I would be more suited to it, because I had my other two experiences.”

In their match on November 15, 2024, Paul landed 78 hits to Tyson’s 18 during the eight two-minute rounds. Paul threw 278 (28%) punches to Tyson’s 97 (18%).

A year later, Tyson is more confident in his ability to face Paul in a rematch. “I realized how to train this time, more than other times…I think I trained a little too intensely [for Paul]and I left most of my fighting in the gym.

“I just hope that after this Floyd fight, maybe we can have a rematch,” Tyson added. “Yes, I would be interested.”

After their original match took Netflix’s top spot in 78 countries with 46.6 million views in its first week, the streamer could have a knockout event on its hands in a possible rematch.
