Glenn McGrath’s reaction to Nathan Lyon surpassing him to become Australia’s second-highest Test wicket-taker has gone viral. Lyon overtook McGrath on the day of the third Ashes Test in Adelaide.

Nathan Lyon moved into second place on Australia’s list of most Test wickets when he dismissed Ben Duckett. He edged McGrath’s tally of 563 wickets.

Then, Lyon took out Ollie Pope first and tied McGrath’s score. Likewise, he dismissed Duckett by beating him, surpassing McGrath and taking his tally to 564 Test wickets. He is now only behind Shane Warne’s 708.

Lyon had already missed the second test as he was left out of the squad. They won this match by taking a 2-0 lead. Upon returning, he created an immediate impact, highlighting his importance and value in Test cricket.
