Red Dead Redemption 2 Free Download Leaks, Mark Your Calendars

It’s a pretty interesting time to be a fan of Red Dead Redemption. The recent re-release of the original game saw a huge surge in interest, which works out well for Rockstar Games, considering that GTA6 has been postponed to November 19, 2026.

As happy as I am to go back to the original Red Dead RedemptionHowever, what I really want is an excuse to come back and play Red Dead Redemption 2. Ideally at 60fps on console. While these rumors persist, an unexpected new leak suggests we might have Red Dead Redemption 2 for free end of December.

As you probably know, the Epic Games Store offers a new game for free every week. Last week was bigger than usual with the Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy offered for the low price of nothing at all. During the Christmas period, Epic starts offering one free game per day.

Between December 19 and January 2 of last year, Epic Games handed out some serious bangers. Here are the games we received in 2024:

• December 19: Vampire Survivors

• December 20: Astrea: Six-Faced Oracles

• December 21: TerraTech

• December 22: Legendary Magician

• December 23: Upgrade to Legendary status for free game Dark and Darker

• December 24: Dredging

• December 25: Control

• December 26: Ghostrunner 2

• December 27: Hot Wheels Unleashed

• December 28: Kill Knight

• December 29: The orcs must die! 3

• December 30: [REDACTED]

• December 31: Sifu

• January 1: Kingdom Come: Deliverance

• January 2: All hell breaks loose

So, as you can see, Epic is not in the habit of offering ridiculous little games. There are huge titles to be won. That’s why I’m not going to dismiss this Red Dead Redemption 2 uncontrollable leak.

A new leak circulating on Twitter and said to have started on Chinese social media shows the full range of Epic’s daily free Christmas games, and it looks like we’ll get Red Dead Redemption 2 on December 31.

I’d take this with a huge pinch of salt, of course, but it won’t be difficult to determine whether or not this is true in just a few days. Epic Games Store Daily Christmas Giveaway Starts December 18. According to the leak, the first game of the competition will be Jurassic World Evolution 2. If this turns out to be true, we can probably hold back more of the rest of the leak, so be sure to check back in a few days.

So there you go. I have the impression Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely the star of the show here, and I would lose my mind if that turned out to be true. But that’s two whole weeks of really awesome free games, so I hope it turns out to be legit.
