VA Sec. ‘Fake News’ Outlet Blister Packs Claiming It’s About to ‘Brutally’ Lay Off 35,000 Healthcare Workers – RedState

You don’t hate the media enough, dear readers. Need a new example to refresh your memory since the last one just a few hours ago? Okay, I’ll oblige. This concerns the process of supporting our heroes through the work of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
What do you think a story with the following Washington Post headline will be about? “VA plans to abruptly eliminate tens of thousands of health care jobs.”
That sounds really negative, right? Like surely something is going to happen that will leave our military and veterans in the lurch? This could lead to, I don’t know, less than ideal medical care for the very people to whom we owe our freedoms? Damn, it’s could even kill peopleto use the histrionic language of leftists.
Instead of recycling the exclusive Washington Post reporting contained in these pages (anyone who wants to can visit the link, after all; I don’t do it recommend il), just take a look at how they shared it on their X account:
Exclusive: The Department of Veterans Affairs will abruptly eliminate up to 35,000 health care positions this month, most of them unfilled jobs.
These cuts come after a massive reorganization effort that has already resulted in the loss of nearly 30,000 employees.https://t.co/pRrWx7VfrG

Before we move forward, can I just ask out loud if the so-called “reporter” or editor of the WaPo intentionally stalked the stupidest photo of VA Secretary Doug Collins that he could find? This seems to me to be the case.

As it should be, Sec. Collins blisters them, showing he’s not about to take that cow dung from the dishonest publication located in the muck of The Swamp. He writes on his X account about “fake news”:
This is fake news from serial plagiarist Lisa Rein (@FedGirlWaPo). No VA employees are being cut, and it will have no impact on veterans’ care. All we do is remove vacant and unnecessary positions. Most of these positions have not been filled in a year… https://t.co/rZwI2E2HQ1

The message ends with: “Most of these positions have not been filled for a year or more, and all Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities continue to fill vacancies as needed.” As we’ve written, this isn’t the first time Collins has been forced to call out these miscreants using scare tactics regarding veterans’ care.

In case you missed his (rhetorically speaking) punch against a CNN host, it was epic.
Every time, readers, the media seems to have hit rock bottom, they find a new way to disgust us with their sick and twisted machinations. Trying to use our military heroes and their emotions in this way is unacceptable. If anyone deserves to have peace and certainty in how their health is managed over the years, it’s our men and women in uniform, when they serve and after they decide to put away their marching boots for good. They shouldn’t be bothered by idiots pretending to be investigative journalists, or even journalists, in a miserable hive of nastiness like the WaPo. I thank God that my late father, who served in the Indiana State National Guard, never had to deal with the government for his health care.
Anyway, let’s move on. I think it’s instructive at times like this to recall President Ronald Reagan’s wise advice regarding “our liberal friends,” who chose the nickname “The Gipper”… as we are officially in NCAA bowling season. (See NCAA College Bowl season schedule kicks off, from Army vs. Navy to playoffs, my colleague Brad Slater’s article monster list dropped on Saturday, children!)
This seems like the best thing to end on. Tell them, Ronnie:
