‘Pulp Fiction’ ‘The Mask’ Actor Was 60

Peter Greene, the actor who appeared in films including pulp Fiction And The maskdied. He was 60 years old.
Greene was found dead Friday in his apartment on New York’s Lower East Side, his manager said. The Hollywood Reporter. No cause of death was immediately given.
Appearing in a multitude of projects throughout his career, Greene has often portrayed villains on screen. In Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 Oscar-winning film pulp Fictionhe played Zed, the sadistic security guard.
In The maskhe played gangster Dorian Tyrell, the main antagonist to Jim Carrey’s meek Stanley Ipkiss.
He was originally from New Jersey and began acting in his mid-20s. His first credited role was a 1990 episode of Hardball. He made his film debut in 1992 Laws of gravity alongside Edie Falco.
Greene’s additional credits span film and television, including Judgment Night (1993); Clean, shaved (1993); The usual suspects (1995); Kiss and tell (1997); Blue streak (1999); Training day (2001); a 2001 episode of Law and order; The Black Donnellys (2007); The bounty hunter (2010); and a 2023 episode of the John Wick prequel series The Continental. He also appeared in an episode of 2025 drug thief and played a key role in the opening scene of the first episode of Justified (2010).
He had several upcoming projects: Mascots with Mickey Rourke and the documentary From the American people: the withdrawal of USAIDthat he was telling. Jason Alexander and Kathleen Turner also participated in this latest project.
“He was passionate about shedding light on all the deaths that were occurring around the world as a result of America’s dismantling of USAID,” said Greene’s manager, Gregg Edwards. THRcalling Greene “one of the best actors on the planet.”
Edwards added of Greene: “He was a good friend, who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be missed.”
Greene is survived by a brother and a sister.
