Novak Djokovic and Caroline Wozniacki join Iga Swiatek and fans in showing their emotions after Lindsey Vonn’s World Cup victory

Novak Djokovic and Caroline Wozniacki made their feelings known about skier Lindsey Vonn’s first World Cup victory of her season. Before them, Iga Swiatek also congratulated the American on her triumph.
Vonn won the Downhill World Cup in St. Moritz on December 12. She won with a time of 1:29.63 seconds. The forty-year-old finished the race just one second ahead of Magdalena Egger. Australian skier Mirjam Puchner took third place.
Thanks for the submission!
Shortly after the 41-year-old’s victory, alongside her fans, the tennis world also congratulated the three-time Olympic medalist for her performance. One of the first players to share a soft note for Vonn was Swiatek, who was later joined by Djokovic and Wozniacki.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion shared a video of the skier’s downhill performance on his Instagram. He wrote:

Lindsey Vonn made her feelings known about meeting Novak Djokovic
In March 2024, Lindsey Vonn shared a message for Novak Djokovic. Shortly after meeting the Serbian, the American expressed her feelings about meeting him by sharing a photo with him and a note calling him the GOAT (greatest of all time).
Since calling Roger Federer the GOAT, she wrote the post stating that sport can have more than one GOAT. Congratulating the 38-year-old on his achievements, she wrote:
“I hang out with the GOAT and yes, I believe it’s him. Contrary to Twitter’s beliefs, I think there may be more than one. But @DjokerNole holds the records and I have nothing but respect for what he’s accomplished…and he skis!”
Lindsey Vonn supports Novak Djokovic and frequently reacts to his victories and heartbreaks on social media. She shared a reaction on her Instagram Story after Djokovic’s victory over Cameron Norrie in the third round of the US Open.
On top of that, she also helped watch the Serbian against Jannik Sinner in the French Open semi-finals. She expressed that she shared a close bond with both players.
