“James, we were told you were involved in that museum theft.” Mubi has revealed another final trailer for the film The braina funky little film from the beloved indie filmmaker Kelly Reichardt. Now streaming on Mubi! Catch it up if you missed it at the cinema. This is his last feature film which follows Night movies, Some women, First cowAnd Introduce yourself just before that. “A rebel without a cause.” In a quiet corner of Massachusetts circa 1970, JB Mooney, an unemployed carpenter turned amateur art thief, plans his first big heist. When things go wrong, his life falls apart. Josh O’Connor stars as Mooney, a simple man who decides to steal a few paintings from his local art museum, but ends up having to flee in this calm, quiet and contemplative art heist drama. Also with Alana Haim, Gabby Hoffman, John’s machine, Hope DavisAnd Bill Camp. After a premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the film was released in theaters in October of this fall. It’s now available to stream – right at the same time as Rian Johnson’s Wake up dead man is coming to Netflix, also starring Josh O’Connor. Both films are worth watching – Josh is superb.

Mubi launches Reichardt The brain film in select US theaters starting at October 17, 2025. It is now ready to stream.
