Today’s Savannah Guthrie Takes a Shot at Co-Host Willie Geist as She Shows Off Brooklyn Home’s Christmas Decor

TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie threw shade at her co-host Willie Geist after he made an on-air comment about her Christmas decorating.
The two got into a heated debate on Friday morning’s show over their different tastes in Christmas trees.
Savannah revealed she bought a fake tree for the first time this year after opting for a real tree.
“It’s fake and it’s spectacular,” the TV star told Willie and Chief Meteorologist Al Roker, who said they preferred to decorate for the holidays with a real tree.
Savannah further bragged about her decoration, saying the tree was “self-lit,” to which their other co-host, Carson Daly, shared that he also opted for a pre-lit tree.
“Are there any ornaments even on your tree?” asked Willie, apparently putting down the artificial spruce of Today’s longtime anchor.

“How dare you?” Savannah clapped playfully. “Of course there are ornaments. [by my] children.”
Savannah shared a clip of their argument on her Instagram Stories and followed it with a close-up video of her fully decorated Christmas tree in her Brooklyn, New York, home, which she shares with her husband, Michael Feldman, and their two children, Vale, 11, and Charley, 8.
She swept the camera up and down the tree, adorned with white lights and colorful ornaments, some personalized with photos of her children.
“Take THIS @williegeist,” the TV personality wrote of the post.
Earlier this week, the group, including their other co-hosts, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer, Pierre Alexandre, Kristen WelkerAnd Jenna Bush Hager, reunited for the show’s annual holiday card.
It included a video posted to Today’s social media platforms that showed the reporters enjoying various winter activities in a snowy setting.
The hosts also posed for a still photo, with the message “Happy Holidays” written across the photo.
Many fans were disappointed to see that Savannah’s former co-host, Hoda Kotb, didn’t participate in the photo shoot.
Hoda previously hosted the first two hours of Today with Savannah and hosted the fourth hour, initially with Kathie Lee Gifford and then Jenna.
The former correspondent left the show in January to spend more time with her family, and Craig took her place in the newsroom.
She reunited with Savannah and Al last week to co-host the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, something she had done in previous years.
