Manny Pacquiao responds after Terence Crawford says he would beat him easily in his prime

Terence Crawford received plenty of plaudits for his victory over Canelo Alvarez this year and so the Omaha-born sensation is brimming with confidence. Now his belief that he would have defeated a top Manny Pacquiao has sparked a response from the latter.

Crawford made history by dethroning Canelo in September, simultaneously becoming the first undisputed three-division champion of the four-belt era and boxing’s sixth five-division world champion, cementing his position among the sport’s greats.

Yet when six-division winner Oscar De La Hoya was asked how “Bud” would have reacted against Pacquiao, the Mexican predicted a knockout victory for the Filipino icon.

Outraged, Crawford took to social media to share his thoughts on how a showdown between him and “Pac Man” would have gone.

@OscarDeLaHoya said @MannyPacquiao would have beaten me because he got stopped by him. Look, I would have fucked you, Pacquiao and whoever you thought would have beaten me. Just because I’m responsible doesn’t mean it’s shit.

Pacquiao was quick to respond and remained as elegant as ever, refusing to get drawn into a war of words.

“All love champion. God bless you and your family always.”

Crawford is now set to move down to the middleweight division in search of world honors at a sixth weight, having been stripped of the WBC super middleweight crown due to unpaid sanction fees.
