Whoopi Goldberg said “hello” to The view.
The Oscar winner was officially returning to the daytime talk show for hosting duties after a two weeks absence, during which she filmed a leading role in the Italian soap opera A place in the sun.
“We should say ‘bienvenuto,'” co-host Ana Navarro joked in the Dec. 1 episode, “because I think that bitch forgot to speak English.”
And as Whoopi admitted, Ana wasn’t entirely wrong.
“I don’t know what language I’m thinking in,” the septuagenarian laughed. “What time zone am I in??»
Despite his whirlwind journeyTHE Ghost The star added that her time on board “was really good.”
“I learned a lot because I had never done a soap opera before,” she continued, “and so doing a soap opera in another language, in another country, was a really interesting time. It was great.”
Whoopi also made sure to send him See co-hosts many videos from Italy, joking, “I just wanted you to know I was actually working.”
