Harper Murray, Andi Jackson and More Break Down in Emotional Night Scenes for Nebraska Volleyball Seniors

Emotions boiled over as Nebraska volleyball players Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, Allie Sczech and others bid emotional farewells to seniors Maisie Boesiger, Taylor Landfair and Rebekah Allick on Senior Night as the Huskers finished the regular season with an undefeated 30-0 record.

They recently played the final regular season game against Ohio State at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, defeating the opponents 25-16, 25-13, 25-20, and also honoring the seniors in their final home game.

Following the victory, Nebraska Volleyball gave seniors Maisie Boesiger, Taylor Landfair, Rebekah Allick and Allie Sczech a celebratory farewell in the presence of their families. The evening was marked by tributes and moving speeches, recognition of achievements, walk-ins and more. It also saw other players like Harper Murray and Andi Jackson break down as they watched their comrades say goodbye.

In a video circulating the Internet, Boesiger, who received her Libero jersey for the first time in her four-year college career, was seen hugging head coach Dani Busboom Kelly as the announcer shouted her name during the honor ceremony.

The video also showed Allick, with tears in her eyes, being accompanied to court by her family. The camera then turned to Harper Murray, unable to control her emotions. Taylor Landfair followed and immediately hugged her teammates in the stands after entering the court.

In another Instagram video, freshman Virginia Adriano was seen hugging Allick, both crying over the emotional occasion.

Andi Jackson showed her love for seniors by holding up a “Clap If You Love Seniors” sign, garnering support from the public.

Nebraska volleyball players have been a force to be reckoned with this season, leaving no stone unturned to make up for the heartbreaking semifinal loss to Penn State in 2024. The Huskers entered 2025 with a series of dominant performances in the AVCA first serve, then posted an undefeated streak in the Big Ten, 20-0, winning the Big Ten title by defeating reigning NCAA champions Penn State.

Harper Murray and his fellow players failed to make an impact in last year’s NCAA semifinals, falling to the eventual champions, the Penn State Nittany Lions. However, this year they recorded their 29th consecutive victory by beating the defending champions and breathed a sigh of relief as they reclaimed their ‘redemption’.

It’s great. I feel like we kind of got our redemption back from last year and that’s something a lot of us never forgot and I’m sure we won’t forget. So, it’s great to come here over the last few months and beat them every time, especially in their gym because it’s a tough gym to play in, so it’s very cool for us,” Murray said when asked about that feeling, heading into the 2025 national championships.

Harper Murray has been a breakout player in the Huskers program, contributing immensely to her team’s winning streak this season.
