Thanksgiving 2025 is almost here, followed by Black Friday shortly after.
Although several stores remained open on the federal holiday for advance Black Friday shopping, many began closing on Thanksgiving so employees could take the day off.
Kohl’s is a store that tends to stay open for several years, as it normally does on most other federal holidays.
But will you be able to start your holiday shopping at Kohl’s right after the family Thanksgiving dinner?
Is Kohl’s open Thanksgiving 2025?
No, Kohl’s will not be open. Shoppers will have to wait until Black Friday to take advantage of in-store deals.
Department stores will be closed on Thanksgiving so staff can stay home to celebrate with their families. This follows the company’s Thanksgiving celebration plans from last year.
But Kohl’s will reopen early on Black Friday, November 28. so shoppers can access all major sales starting at 6 a.m. ET.
