“It means so much more now”

Country music star Mickey Guyton had an exceptional year. And, with a role in Hallmark’s A Christmas at the Grand Ole Opry and the release of his new Christmas album just before the upcoming holidays, it should only get better.
She also admitted that, thanks to her preschooler’s infectious fun, she was excited about the festivities in a way she hadn’t been in a long time.
“I have a 4-year-old son now and Christmas has started to feel magical again for me,” the Grammy-nominated singer said. Us every week. “The older you get, it’s just a vacation you spend with your family, and traveling sucks, and it’s so hard. But now that my son is 4, the holiday season means a lot more now.”
It feels like Christmas was officially released on October 24, but with danceable and happy songs like Sugar cookie And Mistletoe kissesthis is definitely a great time to put it into rotation. However, for those looking for nostalgic songs, it’s best to look elsewhere.
“Christmas is one of those holidays that can either be very joyful or a reminder of what is lost,” said the Do it to me said the singer. “And I didn’t want to do that. I just wanted to bring uplifting messages to people.”
“I just wanted something upbeat,” she explained. “You know, 2025 was a pretty tough year for a lot of people, and I’m not trying to ignore it, but for my mental capacity, I needed something really positive for me. That’s how I was able to cope with so many things that are happening. And so that was my motivation: I just want people to feel light, just good for a minute.”
The album contains eight songs, including a duet with Michael Bolton and a cover of the Frozen song “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” As for Guyton, there are at least two songs that will be played on repeat at her house.
“Sure, all I want for Christmas is you,” Mariah Carey“she proclaimed. “This song is the season every year, forever. This song and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”, Brenda Lee – these are the two songs you want to hear every Christmas.
