Arsenal have agreed full terms with Bukayo Saka on a new contract aimed at making him the club’s highest earner, as first reported here for the Daily Briefing.
The England international has been in positive negotiations with Andrea Berta for some time now, and has long been expected to follow William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in signing a new deal.
Sources have now informed me that everything was agreed verbally, with some details still to be signed before an announcement, expected around January.
Sources on Bukayo Saka’s new contract deal with Arsenal
I was told the following: “Saka has reached full agreement with the club on a new contract which runs until June 2030.
“Final touches on image rights, bonus structures and media rollout are still being finalized. There is no problem – just a calculated delay aligned with Arsenal’s wider communications plan.”
I had already been told that Saliba and Saka would stay “100%” and that news of Saliba’s new deal would follow shortly after.
The same sources now appear very confident about Saka’s deal, even if an announcement does not seem all that imminent.
Bukayo Saka’s importance to Arsenal and England
Saka has been a key player in Arsenal’s first team since he made his debut as a teenager, and he has only gone from strength to strength since then.

The 24-year-old attended Arsenal’s academy and it makes sense that he seems keen to continue at the Emirates Stadium for even longer.
Saka has a total of 76 goals in 277 appearances for Arsenal and 14 goals in 48 England caps, with the winger likely to be a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the 2026 World Cup next summer.
