Rev. Jesse Jackson is on life support in hospital, sources say

THE Reverend Jesse Jackson is on life support, sources told CBS News.
Sources said Jackson had been taking medication for the past few days to keep his blood pressure stable, but his medical team was trying to wean him off the medication.
Sources also said Jackson had occasional moments of consciousness, but would gradually become weaker.
CBS News Chicago has also learned that friends and family members are traveling to Chicago from across the country to be at Jackson’s side.
Jackson, 84, is under observation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was recently diagnosed progressive supranuclear palsya neurodegenerative disease. PSP is similar to Parkinson’s disease, with which Jackson publicly stated that he was diagnosed in 2017.
He was admitted to hospital last week.
