Emily Blunt’s Rare Comments About John Krasinski Give Fans Perspective On These Divorce Rumors
A year ago, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been plagued by breakup rumors, and while they kept things more low-key in 2025, they’ve apparently shut them all down. But Blunt’s latest comments have officially closed the door on those rumors for good, and she’s showing everyone how magical it truly was working together.
During an interview for ELLE’s 2025 Women In Hollywood Celebration issue, Blunt opened up about how shocked she was to work alongside Krasinski for A quiet placeparticularly on his talent as a director.

“I don’t think he knew what he was capable of. So it’s kind of like watching someone discover a superpower, which was wild,” she said. “Before we started, I was like, ‘Look, I’m excited to do this with you, but do you know how to shoot this movie? Because I don’t know how to shoot a movie. So I’m just asking you,'” she recalls. “He was laughing and he was like, ‘I think I know how to shoot. I don’t know why, but I think I do.’ So, my God, that’s what he did. And can you imagine if he thought I was really [expletive]? That wouldn’t be good.
She added: “I think if we had made this film and we didn’t respect or admire each other, it would have been an absolute disaster.”

For those who don’t know, the Quiet place The stars began dating in 2008 after meeting that same year through mutual friends. They got engaged less than a year later, in August 2009.
They later got married in July 2010 and welcomed their two daughters, named Hazel, born in 2014, and Violet, born in 2016.
