Jay Lycurgo signs with CAA

Jay Lycurgo, the rising British talent who turned heads for his performance in the Netflix drama “Steve,” has signed with CAA.
The Londoner — who was recently among the VarietyActors to Watch — Stars alongside Cillian Murphy in the Toronto film, playing a troubled young man at a reform school for boys with behavioral difficulties. Earlier this month, the performance saw Lycurgo land a British Independent Film Awards nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
In his review, Variety said “Steve” was the “best Netflix movie” of 2025 and a “deeply moving and superbly acted diamond in the rough”, adding that Lycurgo was a “young actor by turns sensitive and intimidating in his breakout role”.
Continuing his work with Murphy, Lycurgo recently filmed the “Peaky Blinders” spinoff film “The Immortal Man” among a cast that also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Stephen Graham and Barry Keoghan. He also recently completed Clio Barnard’s upcoming feature film, “I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning,” alongside Anthony Boyle, Daryl McCormack, Joe Cole and Lola Petticrew.
Lycurgo’s previous roles include the lead in Joe Barton’s Netflix series ‘Half Bad: The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself’ and one of the leads in Ben Wheatley’s Channel 4 series ‘Generation Z’.
Additional credits include “Last Swim,” which premiered at the Berlinale, “The Radleys” opposite Damian Lewis and “Eternal Return” opposite Naomi Scott, which also premiered at TIFF in September.
