Why Tom Bergeron agreed to return to Dancing with the Stars after its exit

“It was really because Conrad is there, and it shows,” he admitted. “Just look at what the show is doing. It’s having a resurgence. It’s doing things that I can’t imagine many, if any, 20-year-old shows have done. They’ve had a big decline in viewership.”
He added: “You’re more likely to see a zebra playing the piano than you are to observe its success.”
E! News has reached out to ABC for comment and has not yet received a response.
Tom left the series after 15 years, following the network’s decision to cast the president. Donald Trumpthe former press secretary of Sean Spicer as a contestant for season 28.
