Jessica Simpson on quitting alcohol and getting sober

In October 2018, the American pie star announced he’s been sober for a year in festive and encouraging message Instagram job.
“I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with alcohol and drugs became too much to handle,” he wrote. at the time. “It turns out it’s difficult.”

Years later, he reflected on his journey with addiction and the lengths he went to to hide his struggle.
“I go to therapy and I work on things, but in the meantime, I leave therapy, having just had a good session, and I go to the liquor store and I buy a fifth of vodka, I drink it and I go home,” he said in a March 2024 episode of His Wife. He added: “I had it all figured out. To not get too drunk where I couldn’t have a conversation with you. I was replacing those bottles in the bar all the time.”
