As India’s bad luck in the toss reached bizarre levels, even cricket pundits couldn’t resist joining in the fun. Former Australia captain Aaron Finch joked that he wouldn’t take Suryakumar to the casino. Finch said on air: “I wouldn’t take Suryakumar Yadav to a casino. It’s crazy.”

Meanwhile, India decided to stick to the same XI from the first match for the second T20I against Australia, meaning Arshdeep Singh was once again forced to warm the bench. On the other hand, Australia made a change to their lineup, bringing in Matthew Short in place of Joshua Philippe for the second T20I against India at the MCG in Melbourne.

What did the captains say during the draw?

Suryakumar Yadav said: “We are happy to bat first. That is the brand of (aggressive) cricket we want to play. Shubman knows how to score runs. With him, you also have to run hard between the wickets. We are playing the same team.”
