“Let me guess: you’re an innocent man?” “It’s true, it’s true.” Cineverse has released an official trailer for a western titled Cotton moutha realistic revenge thriller set in 1895 Oklahoma. This film is a sort of western reinterpretation of the classic The Count of Monte Cristo Dumas story, inspired by it, but also with its own clever twists in a classic western setting. In 1895 Oklahoma, love and loyalty turn deadly when a prospective groom is betrayed, imprisoned and reborn as an outlaw bent on revenge. When Ed Dantes is accused and sentenced to torture in a territorial prison in 1895, he must learn the outlaw’s ways of escaping and taking revenge on Billy Dunn. Directed by Brock Harris, this wild saga of passion, power and revenge reminds us that every bullet carries the weight of a broken heart. Featured Martin Sensmeier like Ed, Alyssa Wapanatâhk like Sophie, Jonathan Sadowski, Eric Nelsen, Jonathan Lipnickiwith Ron Perlman And Morales’s essays. I have to say this looks way better than it should! Maybe repurposing this story and turning it into a western was a good idea. Coming out on VOD in November – if anyone wants to catch it.
