Explosive report on Bill Belichick and UNC football surfaces ahead of Friday game
In a twist that seems straight out of an HBO series, an explosive report about Bill Belichick’s North Carolina football program has come to light that could have revealed betrayal by his own staff.
Several months ago, sportswriter Pablo Torre reported that the school had decided internally to ban Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, from participating in the program and being allowed into the buildings. North Carolina quickly responded by refuting Torre’s report, but many believed the Tar Heels were only doing damage control.

In the last episode of Pablo Torre finds outTorre accused North Carolina general manager Michael Lombardi of being the one who barred Hudson from the facilities in the first place. Lombardi is a longtime friend and associate of Belichick, and they have worked together since Belichick’s days with the Cleveland Browns.
“The ban was of course challenged by Carolina,” Torre said. “The school made it clear that they were going to continue to manage Belichick’s personal life, that she is not involved in football at all and that she is not an employee of the university in any way. But she was welcome in the building. But one thing that I want to report publicly now, that I have been waiting to report, is that there was this whole controversial story that I was being blamed for.”
“The person who told several people around the program that Jordon was no longer involved with the football program and was no longer allowed in the building was, you guessed it, North Carolina general manager Mike Lombardi. I don’t even know if Jordon knows that.”

It’s unclear if this is new information he just discovered or something he’s been waiting on for a while, but it would be a real betrayal if Lombardi was the one to ban Hudson only to reverse the decision after it became public.

Belichick at UNC
Things went off the rails for the Belichick-North Carolina experiment. The team is 2-3, but both of those losses came against non-power conference opponents (one of which is an FCS school) and their three losses were all blowouts.

It is widely expected that North Carolina will wash its hands of Belichick at the end of the year, regardless of whether the team finishes the year in a bowl-eligible position. Although his buyout may be expensive, the frequency of bad reporting combined with poor results is quickly causing more problems than solutions for their struggling football program.
