TODAY’s Dylan Dreyer confesses about his family life in personal conversation with his co-stars

During the third hour of Thursday TODAY Showthe hosts opened the episode by discussing their friendship with their neighbors. Al Roker introduced the topic by asking his co-stars, Craig Melvin, Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones, about their lives at home. “When you see your neighbors, do you stop and have a conversation?”
Craig seemed surprised by his co-host’s confession and tried to pry more details out of him. “Do you really want to avoid these people?” he asked. “It’s not that I want to avoid it, it’s meaningless chatter that none of us want to have,” Dylan replied. Turns out the meteorologist wasn’t the only NBC star to admit she wasn’t exactly close to her neighbors. When confronted with Al’s question, Craig hesitated to answer. “How about the neighbors watch the show,” he said, before admitting, “I don’t stop to talk to anyone.” Dylan couldn’t help but joke that Craig’s lack of interaction with his neighbors might have something to do with the size of his house. “Craig’s neighbors live very far away and own a large property,” she said.
Dylan and her ex-husband, Brian Fichera, first listed their $2.5 million New York home for sale in January. Reports indicated in August that the TODAY Show The star has temporarily taken the house off the market. However, a few weeks later, the property was put back on the market – this time with a significant price drop of $500,000, bringing the new asking price to $1.99 million.
The former couple faces a significant loss on the unit, which they purchased for $2.35 million in June 2016. Dylan and Brian moved into the apartment, which included two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a few months before welcoming first child Calvin in December. Built in 2008, the 1,491 square foot residence features floor-to-ceiling windows offering picturesque views of Battery Park’s beautiful landscaping.
While the meteorologist may not be particularly close to her Manhattan neighbors, the same can’t be said for the close-knit community that surrounds her $2.5 million beachfront home, just outside the city. Dylan lives very close to his good friend and former TODAY co-star Hoda Kotb. Hoda opened up about their closeness to each other in her Aug. 26 newsletter for her wellness brand, Joy 101.
She wrote: “Because Dylan Dreyer is our neighbor, his three boys often run over to my house and play with my girls all day, doing simple things: creating a makeshift lemonade stand, fishing, collecting crabs. The biggest question we face is, ‘What are we throwing on the grill tonight?'”
