Fantastic star of four Kate Mara reveals her feelings on the restart of the MCU

Marvel’s first family returns to the big screen – this time under the vigilant eye of Marvel Studios – for The Fantastic Four: First steps. It was a long and rocky route for the superhero group to join the MCU. Before Marvel Studios took control of the franchise, the Fantastic Four were supervised by Fox. During the studio time with the property, three films were published: Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and Fantastic Four (2015).

The latter played Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Miles Teller in the role of Reed Richards, Michael B. Jordan in the role of Johnny Storm and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm. The film offered a radically different vision of the superhero group, offering a grainy story that plunged into body horror and anxiety, rather than the optimisim associated with its source material. Now, one of the film’s stars has shared its reflections on MCU’s next restart.
